serious "help" here please "frankenstien motor"(johnson/evinrude v4)
I got "got" good on creig list bought a "1976 johnson 135 hp" for a boat i just bought 1961 owens "exeter" cuddy cabin. It came with 1961 80 hp johnson seahorse elect. shift,ran good but previouse owner said i wouldnt go on plane and used alot of fuel not doing it,ran into c.l. motor I saw it run (on a bench with jumper cables and hose at night) it took a couple months to pick up i had to put bearings on trailer guy told me it needed silencer and bought one for me i paid him for it couldnt find I.D. tag (he painted over it) 3 air silencers later i think im ready to fire it up started pumping in gas and it came out just as fast fuel lines and carbs. however wiping up gas i uncoverd i.d. tag bought repair manu. and parts cat. and things were not right.found welch plug come to find out i have a 1976 johnson 135 hp lower end, and a 1981 evinrude 115 power head, with the 1976 carbs on itNow were up to date this is a year later replaced lines, carbs,fuel pump/filter,power pack,plug wires,plugs,streightend out (i think) recirculation lines,it starts at high rpm it seems o k at low rpm starts missing bad enough to stop the motor,it has like 105 psi in each cylinder evenly, IM LOOSING MY DREAM: EDIT
