service manual number?

Hi,
I have a 1988 4.3 175hp with thunderbolt ignition, carbs, with alpha one gen one drives. I have the mercury service manual #6 for the alpha one's. I have a Clymer shop manual for the engines. I'm not a fan. Anybody know the mercury service manual I need for the 4.3's?

Manual 7 it looks like Boatinfo - The library, containing manuals, brochures and other technical documents from the last hundred years!

Thanks for your help. I found the #7 on eBay pretty reasonable. I should have it next week, I'm going to start a new thread on a question regarding valve lash. That's all I really need before this manual comes. Thanks again for all your help.

A real mercruiser manual that is free here or a seloc?

I got the real service manual on eBay and also was able to access the real service manual on this site. My questions were answered and I'm happy. I like having the hardcover because I'm always writing info in it that I can reference later. Thanks for your help
