setting floats?

Just need a bit of info I am setting the floats (1978 800 80 hp) I know turn upside down and set to 11/16 is this to the top of the float which is now bottom cause its upside down. And when setting the height do I bend (slightly the bar that the floats sits on?

Yes -- between the float and its pivot.

You bend the bar underneath the float not the float lever

WHen you think you've got it right...install the carbs back on the engine but don't bother to reinstall the airbox and the carb linkage, not just yet. Pump the primer bulb hard and see if any fuel comes out of any of the carb throats, if it does than that float is set too high.

This way you don't have to take off the linkage, airbox, ect....to remove that one carb which may need a float adjustment.
