OK, I got how the timing marks work.

Now my question is on my timing light do I set for 30 adv or do I just leave it at zero?
I have a light that I can set up the advance?

Leave it at zero adv and just use center line on the fly wheel???

Please help, I'm going to the lake today to try and set it?

Thanks

Leave the dial in advance on the timing light at zero and adjust the timing cam for the 30 mark on the flywheel. 28 if you're static timing it out of the water.

Leave it at zero. The adv part of your light is for setting max adv, you would run engine at max adv and tap the minus and bring the timing mark back to zero. when at zero look at the display whatever number it says is how far your off.
