Alright guys, I am up in northen WI surveying the situation with my boat. It has been trailer stricken since 1996 which was the last time I had it registered.
It is a 13' 6" chrysler cadet sitting on a home-made trailer. The trailer is in very good shape! Minimal surface rust etc. I think it will clean up nicely. The real question is the bunks..
This boat always nose-dived really bad in water. Well after much research I came up here prepared (thanks Iboats!) and discovered a hook in the back due to where the bunks are set. They only go back to within 18" of the transom and are pushing in the bottom.
I intend on restoring this boat, and need to have the trailer setup ideally for the transom/stringer replacement.
How do I set the bunks to provide optimal support and stability on the trailer?
Thanks everyone for all your help!
Evan
