I have found that (If you don't have Power Trim) from where it starts to bounce up and down, set it down until it stops doing that and it should be just right.

Hope this helps.

Craig

I dont have power trim and the next peg down makes it push the nose down and moter revs but boat wont speed up . I think this thing should skip across the water, if I can get it set right . ps bought it in Marysville when I lived in Everett , I love lake Stevens .now im stuck in the rivers lol

lol put the fin on because the boat stood up on the tail ( 52 degrees ) at slow speeds , it was wild had to look around side of boat to see ! even standing on seat still could not see over bow .scarry as hell . and I do mean standing on seat .

G3,

The fin is what's causing all the handling problems at high speed. If you need something to get the bow down at low speed use trim tabs. They can be raised at higher speeds and won't mess with the backend.

Chris...........

trim tabs are those little *L* shaped things you bolt on the stern of the boat ????
and should the bottom of the hull be flat in the water when cruseing or have a slight angle like 2inch rise in 4 foot ??? anyone ever have one of these little boats ?

"L" shaped things? Yep! The planing angle will depend on the shape of the hull. Flat bottom boats ride very, well, flat. Constant deadrise Vees ride higher, maybe, 5-10 degrees. See the pic of my boat under my name? That's a bit too high for what you're after.

Hope this helps,

Chris........
