I have recently found more free time and plan to focus on small lake fishing. My Lund Tyee 4.9 currently does not have a bow mount trolling motor and I would like to take advantage of some of the early spring sales. Now for my dilemma, all of the lakes in my area (SE Wisconsin) are frozen. This means that I cannot measure the actual water surface to mount landing of my boat. I have estimated what that distance is and believe that a 54" shaft will work for my boat. Is there anyone on this forum that can confirm this? At nearly $1000 dollars for the motor I am looking at, I would like to be right before I order.

Welcome to the forum 88Lund, I would give Lund or a Lund dealer a call as I'm sure they can supply the info you're requesting. I have found the CS at Lund to be very helpful in these matters.

I'm down in SE Wi. myself. Soot me a PM and let me know where you're at. I'm in Western Kenosha Co.

Minimum 54 inch. Motor height is adjustable but you cannot adjust one that is too short to start with.
