crab bait, you can blame the "New look" on Mutt Lang.<br />After she took time off and traveled the world for a while for some "quality family time", she came back with the new look.<br />I would say it goes back to Mutt's rocker days and he is trying to impose some of it on Shania.<br />I was and still am a big fan of her's.<br />I always will be because no-one liked her when she arrived in Nashville and thought she was to wild, and her biggest rival is Faith Hill, who after seeing what kind of reaction Shania got, change her stage presence a little also.<br />Faith is good, but she was not getting noticed as much when Shania was on the scene, but when she took her time off is when Faith changed her looks and style to kinda Shania's style.<br />If you followed Faith any, you will know what I am talking about.<br />It's a new look for her, but I don't think she will stick to it.<br />Thats just not Shania and she will come to see that and go back to the "old" Shania.

i guess i'd be a dead man if some significant other i know realized how much i can remember of other women, but not remember a thing concerning my daily life. lol<br /><br />yes, the point of faith really hit me. i don't follow either one closely, but seem to remember any visuals of them i come across...<br /><br />i even mentioned to my wife how faith is not looking as good as i think she can, and that her new look just doesn't fit her. she is a fine woman, as fine as shania is to me, just not in the same style. i like faith in a more innocent looking attire. and shania shines in casual & crazy. <br /><br />i guess they both would be fine in full body spandex...

Its too bad when both women are so insecure about their talent that they have to resort to "Cheapening" their acts by dressing like "Ladies of the Night". Same thing happened with Lee Ann Womack. It seems like most country singer females feel the need to "show some skin" in order to be successful. (Britney Spear HAS too since she lacks singing talent and couldn't make it otherwise) All three of the above have exceptional vocal talent, but their quest for "centerfold of the month" really overshadows it. <br /><br />Dont get me wrong, I appreciate a seductive dress every now and then, but these people are our childrens role models. Children are being taught that in order to make it in this world, you must exploit your body. I can't believe none of you mentioned the fact that Shania lip-synched during the Superbowl. What a farse! At least Sting and Gwen did it live even if Gwen sang 3 keys off. If someone has to fake that they are singing in events like the Superbowl then I think they do not deserve the right to try to "entertain" the rest of the world. Let a real performer/artist do it like Sting.<br /><br />As for Faith, my wife and I have an agreement that she won't divorce me if I ever have a chance with Faith (its fun to dream) and I won't divorce her if she gets Tim Mcgraw. What a deal!

admin! oh the horror! i can't believe you said that! and to tell that story?<br /><br />rotflmao hehehe <br /><br />ok, for what its worth. here in hotlanta we have a very (supposedly) enlightened country station. they get a feed from a guy in nashville every morning - jimmy carter is his name (not ex-Prez)ole jimmy must be 'in the crowd' according to all the things he knows, before they're hittin the stores.<br /><br />anyhoo, he made note of that early this week. i hadn't seen the superbowl, so didn't know what he was referring to. he said shania, like many artists, are somewhat restricted, by their sponsor, in how the mixing is done. and that it is common practice for the companies(read mixer) to run a vocal dup in the backgrnd, which makes the voice sound richer. so when she tried to stop, she didn't realize the backgrnd had her vocals already in it. and she was very embarrassed over it, but she was indeed singing, and not lip-synching.<br /><br />now, since i didn't even witness it- does that sound like it is a possibility?
