here's the story.
had a whole lower end replaced, but kept my original prop.
found out the hard way the skeg was SLIGHTLY smaller, and the prop at lowest rotation sat just under the skeg tip...
on all 3 blades it appears about less than (i'd say) 1/8" has been shaved off the blades because i ran across rocky ground slowly, the motor was dragging like 2 seconds, well enough to eff the prop.
anyhow, i know that a prop that's banged up can cause vibration inside your lower gears (what parts exactly does it hurt?)
NO blades have been bent/chipped off pieces
question is, will having a partially shaved tip on all blades eff my inside gears by causing vibration while running? or am i ok still?
(if anyone has any links or info to share on bunged up props and the damage they can do, PLEASE do share, thanks!)
