Sheer Pin On 25 Hp Johnson?

I'm waiting for a manual for this 1981 25 hp, not through hub exhaust, motor. I changed the prop yesterday, and I was expecting there to be a sheer pin in front of it, but it is splined with no pin. Obviously with splines, the pin wouldn't be there in the shaft, but there must be one somewhere. Where is it? And should I have a spare? Or does the whole thing work some other way?

Thanks

There is no pin. The splines do the job of a drive pin. The prop has a rubber slip hub in it to protect the gear train.

Thanks! So, if I were to hit something with the prop, hard enough to matter, would the rubber slip hub slip then catch again, or would something need to be replaced?

I gather from that answer that the prop and rubber slip hub are one unit, and I couldn't replace the slip hub myself. The good news is that I have the prop I just took off as a spare, it's just a higher pitch as you may recall. I'm pretty careful and all, I was just wondering. There is a lot of driftwood in the water right now too - have to keep a close eye out. Now if that manual would just come.

It's a press fit, not something most people can do at home.
