Well, I just sold the first boat I ever owned. I already miss it! I think I may have let it go for too cheap. I had just put the for sale sign on it and took it to the boat ramp to go out. This guy walked up, asked about it, I took him for a quick spin and that was it. Anyways, it was a 1979 Steury 17ft bowrider with a 120 mercruiser. I put a lot of time and money into it over the years. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think I should of got for it. Everything was working and solid with the exception of the trim and gas gauge. I'm going to go weep now. Check back soon.

http://www.geocities.com/philtheskipper/boat.html

I sure hope you got at least $30,000 for her. Anything less than that and you screwed up. :) :)

Seriously, it hard to say from just pictures.
It really doesn't matter. I have had the same feeling when I sold things. But I have learned one thing over the years. Things have a $ value. If they are well kept and of good quality, they might sell for a little bit more. But most importantly, the nicer ones make an impression and they sell fast.

I have sold 3 motorcycles, a car, a truck, and a boat, all to the first person that looked at them. I have also sold several that didn't "look" as good, but eventually sold for about the same prices, it just took longer.

The burning question I have is, " are you replacing her with another boat"?

Pretty boat, phil. I wish the previous owner of my boat had put as much TLC into my boat as you put in yours. :)

You bet I did. I now have a 1985 21' Chris Craft Scorpion with a Suzuki outboard. I like the deep v hull and the open rear deck space of the boat. All it needs is some work on the exterior paint job which I plan on doing after this boating season.

I sold the 17 footer for $1800.

I know what you mean. As stupid as it sounds, I one time wouldn't sell a boat to a guy because he acted like a jerk. Offered me my full asking price too.
