1. Nice to be back.
2. Who said I was on a submarine? (I operate underwater robots)
3. Australia has many subs, both diesel and nuclear. (Collins and Oberon class) Here's a photo of one I took a few weeks ago...

4. If it only goes up with the trailer button to a crown point, then will continue up with UP, then you have the switch set up wrong. Remove it from the gimbal ring and with a multimeter connected, turn it until the multimeter beeps (or shows 0 resistance).

Yep..will get back to it...I really don't depend on it as I do have the up/down gauge to see where it is at. One of the members said something about being on the bottom of the ocean so I assumed...trying to get the power steering pump back on so I can get back on the water to see where im at!
welcome back!
Thanks

Yeah, that would be right. :D

I operate and maintain underwater robots (ROVs) in the oil and gas industry. The reason I'm 'off the grid' is because I'm stationed on a vessel in the middle of whatever sea/ocean they decide to send me. And that usually means with no, or very limited, internet access. My ROVs can get down to 4,000m (13,000 feet for the country not joining the rest of the world in the metric system ;)), and it's very dark down there! But I stay strictly topside.

Chris.... Here's a picture of me with one of my 'toys'...
