Shift Cable Adjustment, Bravo One w 6.2L

No forward or reverse after installing stern drive.... cable seems stiff... was able to make a small adjustment but was only able to get reverse.. no forward.... I have a Bravo One with a 6.2 L engine.... please help!!!

If the cable is latched in the shift linkage it should move easy with the motor running. As the drive was going on did the cable get latched before the drive whet the rest of the way?

If the cable is disconnected at the shift plate and with motor running, you can push pull the cable easy to change

alldodge ohhh man I am having hell!!! Got the shift cables on correctly and had it shifting perfectly into both forward and reverse with engine running, was finished when I noticed a crack in the plastic remote control shift cable end where the pin goes through directly above the lower shift cable. I now have to replace this one!!? Any idea the length of the control cable!? I have a Caravelle Interceptor 212 , 21’ boat with 6.2 L engine
