Shift cable length

Just wanted to verify that the part of the # on my cable represents the length. In this case it looks like the last 2 digits are 1 & 6. I assume this means it's a 16ft? Would it be good practice to replace the throttle cable as well while it's all apart? They're the same type of cable as the shift cable, right?
