Sometimes when I shift from forward to reverse the engine stalls. Sometimes it doesn't.
I don't know what the problem is but suspect shift cable. How involved is the change of shift cable?
I think it is upper shift cable that goes from shift control to the shift bracket (on top of valve cover).
I might be wrong about the cable also.

Please help with suggestions?

Thanks

Might be the shift interupter switch...it is designed to knock out a cyl or two..to assist in shifting. Try moving the Shifter arm quickly.

TMD
