Shift cables on Volvo Penta 5.0FL and SX drive

Morning all,

Was looking at my service manual and my owners manual and could not locate any information on changing them. My shifter is stiff in forward and reverse and I was wanting to check them. Is there any info any where on this process or is it so simple it's not in print?
