well today i was dolpihn watching just off cape may, nj the whole pod swam under the boat so i put the shifter in neutral to stop the propeller rotation. Well the shifter just stripped its splines. I managed to tighten the set screw to bee able to hae throttle control to get home but as soon as i got home the throttle slipped again. <br />The marina telle me i need a new control box at a cost of 500 dollars plust shift cables.<br /><br />I see some control boxes on line for less a lot less. i have a mercruiser 454 bravo one single screw.<br /><br />Can i use one of these boxes? How do i know which one to use?
