shift cutout switch mercruiser

I have a 96 Chaparral 4.3LX and am having problems adjusting the shift cutout switch. Anyone know of any diagrams on the web? I have found verbal instructions but really need to see a diagram to help me understand this bugger!

thanks for the response. I figured the problem out. The shift lever was out of adjustment.
