Shift Lever Still Stuck Johnson 50 hp :((

When I hold the warm up lever down I can shift all the way forward, but when I pull it back it stops just before neutral and cannot be moved any further. Motor is a 50ESL75B. Any help would be appreciated as I am not an outboard motor specialist.

Disconnect the cables from the engine and try shifting the control box. If it works properly it is most likely an adjustment problem, if it still does not work properly you will have to pull the control box apart and see what is wrong in the box.
