I have a 1966 55hp Chrysler outboard. Before I got this engine someone had been playing with the linkages on the right side of the engine. I don't know how to set it up. when the engine is off and engaged in forward or reverse...you spin the prop and the engine turns in the correct direction in neutral it spins freely. But when the engine is running neither gear appears to be engaged and it just revs the engine.
