Shift rod Housing gasket

Fellows,<br />I'm purchasing a new seal kit today for my 1991 225 HP Johnson. While tearing down Lower unit to isolate my source for water intrusion. I removed the shift rod housing.<br /><br />MY QUESTION: WILL THE SEAL KIT INCLUDE THE GASKET FOR THE SHIFT ROD COVER/HOUSING? I'M PRETTY SURE THE O'RING IS INCLUDED BUT NOT SURE ABOUT THE GASKET.<br /><br />THANKS<br />

I am 100% sure that the Mercury aftermarket kit for you engine does come with the gasket.<br /><br />So I would assume if you bought the OEM version it would too.<br /><br />TMD
