OK not sure about this one. When reinstalling the outdrive, the female coupler on the gimble housing for the shifter isn't at a perfect 90 when the throttle is all the way forward. This makes it difficult to get the outdrive back on. Is it supposed to be at a 90? Do I need to adjust it?

put the shifter on the remote in fwd gear

ensure shifter on bell housing (female portion) is straight (fore and aft)

drive in fwd gear, shift arm straight (fore and aft)

install drive, ensuring the shift arm and fork align proprly

that's exactly my question. So the female should be facing perfectly fore and aft with the shifter in full foward? When it's in full forward it is still at about a 25 deg angle to the left.

should be straight fore and aft

be sure that the shifter at the helm is in the shift position and not throttle only

then check the shift linkage at the bell housing, you can swivel it and make sure the roller portion on top fits between the tabs on the shift slide on the shift cable.

Does everyone else agree. It seems to be a fairly big adjustment, its not straight by quite a bit.

OKi Doki, Thanks peoples. I guess I need to adjust it then. That could be my problem my I lost power, maybe its not fully engaged and slipping out of forward gear.
