Shifter on Chrysler 8-HP ?

I need information Please, on how to adjust the shift rod on a Chrysler 8hp - 1973 - I changed the impeller and I turn the rod few times - don't ask me why ... - look like I had nothing better to do, and now I want to be sure it will back to the good place, so how many turns in or at what height it should be, any hint will be appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Mario

My manual doesnt indicate any adjustment on the<br />shift rod.It doesnt make that clear.<br />It appears that the rod is screwed into a cam<br />on the end. If it was mine I would snug it into<br />the cam and then line up the connectors.
