Hey guys,
I have a teleflex single lever top mount control. My mechanic installed it for me a while back when I got the news I needed new mounts. I have completed the mount job and was all ready to fire it off, when i tried to start it, after a few attempts, she kicked over but in FULL throttle.. my heart stopped for a moment and I quickly shut it down...(i know you never run full throttle under no load).. anyway, I think i am ok but need help with making changes to the shifter.
My engine requires a push down to throttle up...as of now, I see the shifter is set up to pull up.. this is why i was at full throttle trying to start my engine..
any help on changing this? I have the install instructions which tells you how to reverse the action but I have never done this and would like some input..
Lastly..on my enigine 1986 E140TXCDC, what is the position of the throttle arm when no cable is connected (at the engine)?? should it be straight up and down and then it travels back as you rev??...
