This may or may not be a shifter problem, but I have just purchase a new boat with a 1998 50hp evinrude and installed installed a new shifter with new cables, of course I have to feed them through other wires through the floor of a center console. It was working fine, went fishing than tried to start the motor and all I got was a buzzing sound when I tried the tilt and trim. When I turn the key my warm up buzzer still sounds, but no power elsewhere. Rpm guage bumps when I turn the key. I have checked the fuse and it is fine. Is this some sort of a tediuos short problem or could it be something with no worries? Please help. jnr0407@mfire.com
