1991 Four Winns w/1990 King Cobra 7.4L, not shifting into forward. Started last year, replaced shift cable. Still not shifting into forward. Intermittantly. Shifts into reverse fine. Smooth shifting otherwise. Just not going into forward. I let it sit for a while, then for no reason, it goes into forward. No grinding, no stiffness. It just happens. Could this be an intermittant electronic problem of some kind? I believe the mechanic last season is very capable, and had the cable adjusted correctly. He mentioned that if the cable didn't correct the problem, another part might be required, but I don't remember what part that might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
