Shifting Issue

I replaced my water pump on a 2002 200 HP HPDI. Removed and replaced LU while in neutral, came off and went on with ease. Started right up and pumped water no issues, however now when I put it in forward gear the prop only turns clockwise but not at the rate you would expect. Put it in neutral it will stop spinning. Put it in reverse and it continues to spins clockwise but not at a high rate. What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

Nevermind, found the issue. The shift shaft didn't go into the sleeve. Problem solved.
