I wanted a dinghy for my 25ft bayliner, I'm thinking about going to a fully inflatable (not hard bottom) so I can deflate it when not in use, so I can get a bigger inflatable. I dont have much room on my swim platform. I would probably use it a lot, just taking the kids out or getting to shore when we find a nice beach.

Is Zodiac, the brand name, worth the extra money?
If at sea, would it be hard to get a 12ft inflatable inflated and motor mounted?

Is there a generic inflatable thats of good construction / bad construction?

is hardbottom easy to set up, worth the extra?

for outboards, how heavy are they? say 15 to 25 hp?

12' inflatable for a 25' boat?

I'm grinning, just can't help it.

I don't have anything worthwhile to add to this post or your other one, so I'm leaving. Hope someone has good advice.

I really can't see that working out with a MOTOR that big  and could see diveing for the motor happen pretty easy

In my travels i see a lot of people doing it with 2 to 4 hp motors that are easy to handle on small dinks

As for as blowing it up everytime its a PITA to do even with a SKI TUBE i cant see getting a 12'to fold into anything easy to handle on a 25' boat

tommays
