Short Shaft to Long

I have just converted a 9.8 four stroke from 15' to 20". I found the kit online.
My question is this. I cannot find a conversion kit for my 25 Hp 2 cycle Ns25c3
Nissan. I bought this motor new, and it still has very low hours. I see from other posts that parts would be fairly high, which I would not care about. What parts would be needed? In the 9.8 it was just the exhaust housing, power shaft, water tube, and shift rod. Would that be similar for the 25, or would there be more? Thanks for any information you could give.

There is no kit from Tohatsu/Nissan to do it for any model. Internetoutboards.com has some kits that are listed as a convenience.....They will make you up a kit for the 25 as well. Same type of parts...Just different part numbers.

Just for information to anyone that wants to know.

Since the first post, I have converted the 9.8 4 stroke to long shaft using a kit from Internetoutboards.com. I then did my 25hp 2 stroke, using parts that I deduced I needed, from doing the 9.8. I had a service manual for the 9.8, which was $40.00. I also have a manual covering all motors from 1992 through 2009. That was what I used to do the 25. It was, as explained elsewhere on this forum, expensive ($300 plus for the 9.8 and $700 plus for the 25), but I had less than 20 hours of use on the 25, and I knew how it had been taken care of. The procedures are quite different, since the 9.8 kit came with the bearing already pressed on the power shaft, but I re used the bearing on the 25. Also, the gear box had to be taken apart to get the nut off the bottom of the drive shaft on the 25. The 9.8 does not have a nut to contend with. All in all, both were interesting learning experiences. I would be happy to enlighten anyone that wants to know what was involved.

Where do you find the kit for the 25. I have the 30 ns30a3 and can't find the kit anywhere.

There is no actual kit from the factory. Chris at internetoutboards.com will make you up a kit for whatever model number you give him. Or, you can go to any other dealer and ask them to look up and order in the individual part numbers for you.
