should i fix my tabs or use the hydro fin?

i have non working tabs that need new cyclinders but i also have a hydro foil fin that came with the boat, will the fin work and cancel the tabs or do i need to fix the tabs and scrap the fin? or should i use boh? also i was wondering how you set tabs, should you just put them down all the time when your sitting in the water and when you start to go adjust? or keep them up and try and get on plane then adujst?

Tabs down to plane out, then adjust for best ride. As you slow down, you can slowly deploy them to help keep the boat on plane longer....
If these are on the Larson or the Stamas, I'd ditch the foil and fix the tabs..
