Should I go to a 4 blade?

Boat is a Cobalt 210, Volvo 4.3 225 HP, currently has the 3 blade, 14.25 X 23 prop that came with the boat.

Top speed is not a concern at all. Want to reach plane as quick as possible and get minimum plane speed as low as possible.

Max RPM is currently within 200 RPM of specs.

Am I correct in thinking that going to a 14 X 23 4 blade prop will accomplish what I am looking for?

No you aren't correct. You want to drop to a 21 pitch 4 blade. the extra blade *should* lower your WOT RPMS by 100-200. So you don't want that. Dropping 2" in pitch should negate that rpm loss of the extra blade. But if you really want to plane the fastest, why not go to a High Five prop?
