Should I have Carb rebuilt? 5.0 TKS 0m012817 Bravo 3

A while back I seem to remember Don saying that if you get water on the carb it never goes away. Because of a crack on my engine cover, I found that water would seep down the stud into the carb. ( two barrel) Generally the boat runs good but occasionaly it stumbles and hesitates, then all of a sudden it will clear up. This is mostly around low rpm's 1200. Ive done plugs, wires, cap, rotor.
