Should I replace my 270 PDS?

I finally removed the PDS and found that the drive shaft was pitted in some places. I think it will be ok as long as I take some sandpaper to get some of the cancerous rust off the shaft. I just need a second opinion. What do you think?

In the center of your center photo, that is the surface the seal rides on. Yes you should replace the shaft.
