should I sell my extra cover

I got an exact fit sunbrella cover for my boat with the trolling motor fitting.

I worked with the manufacture directly to get the correct fit and part and purchased it from a very great online distributer that has a fantastic boating forum .. Well long story short I apparently had a different factory installed tolling motor installed than the one they used to take the measurements with. The cover didn't fit properly and with the manufacture sent me a new one without the tolling motor fitting. They did not want the old one back.

Now I have a brand new sunbrella cover (it was on the boat for two weeks so its close to new) sitting in the box.

I'd keep it,covers dont last forever. You could have it modifed to fit the trolling motor at a later date. Or if ya sell the boat,and the old cover is getting ratty,it helps to have a good cover to up the sale.

with a 10 year warrantee on this puppy lets hope I don't need to replace it anytime soon. Its a hard choice. I could find I whished I made either decision later i'm sure.

Thanks for moderating but I'm not selling anything here. I intentionally left all detail out of the post. I was merely try to get advice from folks as to should I keep it or let it go

I would sell it locally if I did. I edited my original post so it doesn't read like I'm trying to sell it here.

another vote for keep it.
ya never know when you'll need a new one.
ie. i had me a nice 2 or so year old cover. it worked perfect and was kinda pricy. a tree rained a branch down on it and poked a hole in it. needless to say, the cover was never the same after that and i ended up buying a new one.
another thought. over the years. i've used 2 covers. especially when i hear it's gonna be snowing. after the snow, ya take the top cover off after it's covered with ice and snow. the cover underneath is nice and fresh and still protecting the boat.
