thanks ill check that out makes sence correct me if im wrong but it seams like it wouldnt do any damage to finish the season with this i trsiler the boat and my exaust flaps are recent
exhaust bellows are open to the water and full of water at rest so will make no difference except maybe more noise on plane. Merc also uses an exhaust tube that is only connected on one end , you effectively have the same thing.
Also totally normal for water to come out the idle relief ports like you are seeing underway there is lower pressure at prop hub and it goes there. Also common for water flow to be uneven out the two ports depending on trailer lean.
I would check you driveshaft and shift bellows for cracks. My exhaust bellows let go a year or two before I changed out my just starting to get cracks driveshaft bellows. driveshaft and shift will let water in the boat and ruin things like u joints, gimbal bearing, and drive input seal due to corrosion and water ingress. best to pull drive and end of season and inspect. also best to use OEM part$ as they last a long time. My driveshaft and shift bellows were still not leaking at 18 years.
