Having trouble with a 2004 Yamaha VZ250TLRL shutting down when at full throttle.

Did this before and you replaced all the fuel filters and problem went away. Boat has only been run about 5 times and doing it again.

Any solutions?

No, because he thought maybe water in fuel so he drained tanks and added something to dry out and then re-fueled. Same problem. The boat doesn's sit long between uses.

Re: shuts down at high speed

sounds like a loss of high pressure on the rail, for what ever reason.
sudden loss of high pressure can and WILL result in detonated pistons if nt corrected.
you can use a shop service manual and a multimeter to test rail pressure or the diagnostic test lamp or laptop.
you also need to monitor medium pressure at the VST, bad VST or medium pressure filter can and will cause this issue.
both medium and high pressure rails can be tested simultaneously as well as low pressure.
all at one quick shot.
needs to be done ASAP.
