Sierra Fuel Pump For OMC Engine, Sierra Part #18-7352 Schematic

Does anybody have a schematic or video showing the proper rebuild of this pump? I took mine apart to clear it of any debris in the fuel system and now the engine just cranks and cranks but won't start. I'm pretty sure I have it back together properly because I have found fuel in it upon inspection. I just want to make doubly sure. When I crank my boat motor with the fuel line disconnected from the carburetor side I don't see fuel coming out. Is this maybe because there is no vacuum at this point?

Try going to Leeroy's Ramblings; he has really good instructions and pictures on rebuilding fuel pumps but this is for 9.9/15 hp engines. Good luck If no fuel coming out to carb then something was not put back together correctly.

Thank you Will. While the pump listed isn't an exact match it is very close. It appears that I have put mine back together correctly based upon the picture and the testing procedure. I will spray some fuel mixture down the carbs and ensure my batteries are full before cranking it next time. A video I watched suggested that it was just an issue of getting the engine cranking in order to start the flow of fuel into the carbs.
