I need some advice please guys whether anyone has owned a 1978 17ft silverline comoro tri-hull? Or if anyone knows anything about them? I am in two minds after reading the threads on tri-hulls whether to fix it up or sell it as-is. It has a merc cruiser 470 inboard that works great, just a rough interior, the seats need re-upholstering and a new floor. It cost me $700 with a caulkins trailer.
The floor isnt a problem, I`ve replaced two in the past. The seats hmm I`d like to do them myself, I would have to hand stitch everything but I have allot of time and patience
Just not a great deal of money. The three parts of the roof are in pretty good shape, just a bit of stitching here and there.
So I dont know what to do, is this one of the ****tier riding tri-hulls ? Is the engine any good ? (oh its 700 hours on it)
I'd be using whatever boat I stick with for allot of river fishing and some lake in the lower mainland, BC. Canada. I have 4 kids 7 1/2, 7, 4, 1 so fishing is gonna be nuts and I need allot of room but only a small vehicle to pull with.
My all in budget is probably $2000/$2500. Your advice would be much appreciated,
Thanks, Harry
