Simplex controls gear shift fitting?

Hello
I need help finding the gear shift fitting on the end of an evinrude simplex controls. The outboard is an 1960 evinrude lark 2 40hp. I?m not even sure what it?s called. I did some searching of that term but brought no results. Do you guys know if they still make this part and if they do what?s the part number?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Looks like its called a Casing Guide.
Part number 0377850

Then there is also 0205036 CASING GUIDE, Control
Which I'm guessing is the Controller end?

But, don't these usually come installed on the cable?

Hey Big,
Thanks for you help. I don't think that's the part I need, this part is metal and it has a screw that holds it on the cable wire as well as a broken off hole for where the connector would be to connect to the shifter lever on the outboard. If this is all one piece on a cable then that's great I need a new cable anyways.

so you don't mean the broken cable end, but the attaching pin/screw on the end?

Have a picture of just the part you need?

Also, model # of engine being worked on?

Casing guides and associated parts do NOT come with the cable. It takes a type 400 cable from here at iboats. The other parts you get from an Evinrude dealer. This parts list should tell you all you need to know:
