Hi,
I've been reading the forums on how to siphon gas. Just wanna confirm if this is where I remove to insert the tube to siphon the gas. following the tube, it comes out from the tank, to the water seperator, to something else (fuel filter, i think) to something else (fuel pump, i really don't know) I just need to know if this is where I remove to get to the tank to siphon. But I wouldn't mind knowing what all that other stuff is either...

Entry to gas tank? Do i twist off the copper fitting or do i just remove the tube there and connect it directly to the universal electric fuel pump i bought to siphon?

My boat is an inboard Sea Ray with a 350 chevy engine and pre alpha out drive

Can you tell me what these are so I can better understand the fuel system?

Comes out from what I think is the tank, then goes here. Water Seperator

Then goes to... What's this? (Fuel Pump, my guess)

Which then connects to this? (Fuel Filter?, my guess)

Re: Siphoning Gas, and fuel system parts

Siphoning gas is simple. No need for a pump.

I disconnect the gas line at the quick connection.
Hook up about a 5 foot extension line to a gas can on the ground.
A couple of squeezes on the primer bulb gets the flow going.
Change cans before it overflows.

The trick is to have the output of the gas line extension lower than your gas tank.
