NFL - which is what i wanted<br /><br />nhl - nascar - nba - mlb <br /><br />as far as stations they did appear to have about the<br />same<br /><br />I guess you could check if they have marin versions, but they both have boom box versions, where you can move the receiver from the boom box to the car.<br /><br />DO NOT go for the wireless version. This one transmits the signal to the radio via an unused fm station - if you travel I can gaurantee you that the station you transmit to will be in use and you will get only static.<br /><br />its an extra 20$ for the wire line connector to connect it directly to your existing radio.<br /><br />OR<br /><br />You can just replace your entire radio with a satellite version.<br /><br />tomatolord

I have the Sirius also. The home and car set ups.<br /><br />I agree on the hard wire, especially in metro areas. Rural areas, the FM is OK.

we just got the sirius mobile unit for the blazer and its pretty good. When you drive under an overhead obstruction (gas station roof, bridge, tunnel, big tree branches) you loose service for until your past it. I like the comedy channels. Only difference I saw between XM and Sirius is xm had a playboy channel and sirius doesnt BUT a maxim channel is supposed to start this fall.

I not sure I see the benefits of an ‘audio’ playboy channel. I don’t think the magazine exists for its insightful articles.

Actually Sirius does not have the actual Nascar races.<br />But the do have the Elvis channel 24/7 all Elvis.<br />And yes there is believe or not a market for PlayBoy Radio it also cost extra for the channel.<br />I have Sirius and love it, 1 Sirius PNP unit that I use with my Home stereo "best sound" , my Car, my boat, and my portable boombox, all for 10 bucks a month.<br /><br /> http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum/index.php

Pgrm: $10/mo + $7/mo each additional receiver.<br /><br />If you want to throw out a big chunk of money all at one time, you can get free month(s) for buying years of programming in advance from either provider. Also, until Dec 31, 2004, and for a mere $500 you can buy lifetime programming for a specific Sirius receiver. Problem: plan is not transferable. Will any satellite receiver still be working and desirable in 5+ years, the breakeven time against annual plans?<br /><br />Maxim is coming to Sirius. They are thinking of adding it to the normal line up, but offering as a separate premium channel is not out of the question, either. I think if it contains anything that is not appropriate for children, it will be a separate, premium channel, like XM’s High Voltage, $2/mo premium channel.<br /><br />Playboy is available on XM for $3/mo. For a limited time the $5 activation fee for this station is waived. I think I would rather watch the vice-presidential debate.<br /><br />If you are into the NFL, the basic Sirius is the way to go at $13/mo. If you would rather have audio Playboy (whatever it is), the monthly cost of XM with the premium Playboy channel is the same as the basic Sirius programming, at $13/mo.
