I'm getting ready to pick up another boat and only have 1 trailer, whats the best way to sit a boat on the ground or possibly in my pole barn what should I sit the boat on old tires ??

I have a 1971 starcraft V-150 (american) and i'm looking at a 18ft Starcraft aluminum, I would like to store one on the ground while I repair the aluminum one,

I have used tires, hay bales, I even used a piece of dock floatation foam I pulled out of the lake once. You can lay it directly on the ground on the grass if you want. Just clear the rocks out under the boat. Its easier to get it jacked back up on the trailer if it is slightly elevated though.

enjoy, drewp

If you have the High-lift jacks, concrete blocks and some 4X4's I would leave it off the ground so that when you get ready to put it back on the trailer, all you have to do is back under it and let 'er down! (that's what I plan on doing with my 14 ft. fiberglass runabout)
