SIZE AND YEAR OF MERCURY MOTOR

Please help me find the size and year of a mercury outboard motor with the serial #: OB-228773 and information about changing steering cable for this engine. I was thinking that the HP was a 90 or a 115 I'm not sure but i know its bigger than a 35. <br /> Many thanks! johnjr2854@yahoo.com

Looks like a 1987 model 35 hp.You can get specific removal and installation procedure for steering cable from an engine service manual or literature with part from reputable dealer.
