Wondering if anyone knows the nut size for the prop for a Yamaha 40ELH 2 stroke? (That's 1987). The nut looks close to 19mm or 20mm, but I haven't tried the 19mm socket I own yet. Thanks, - as I may need to purchase the correct socket.

You can buy one of those "X" shaped lug nut wrenches at the auto parts store, hacksaw off 2 that don't fit your prop nut, and you have a nice "L" shaped prop nut wrench....get a chrome plated one and it won't rust out in the boat....remember a block of wood to jam the prop while tightening/removing prop nut....and you're good to go!...

OK, Thanks boscoe99!
Thanks Robert Graham. That is a good tip to know re: the prop nut wood block. I think I'll stick with my torque wrench since I can dial in the recomended. torque.
