I currently have a mercury sport jet 90 on a 93 bayliner jazz 1400.I would like more power and im only 14 so i dont know much about the jet pump,mostly i know about the motor, but i was wondering could you put a sport jet 120 or 175 on the 90 jet pump.

If you are talking about a Force engine, the 120 and 90 have the same mounting stud pattern so the 120 would fit. Electrical systems are basically the same also. However, as with a propeller, the impeller in the jet pump is matched to the 90 so you would need to replace it. Not being familiar with jet drives, I could not say what else would need replacing.

Without some thorough investigation, I would say stay with the engine you now have unless it becomes damaged.

I know of no Force 175 engine.
