Hey JasonJ,
Is that pvc pipe in the center of your hull where you routed your steering and engine cables?
Can you provide some details or give some direction as to pcv size, your cable layout, min radius of steering cable, etc.
thanks Jason,
Pat

It is 4 inch PVC drainfield pipe. It is a bit thinner and lighter (and cheaper) than regular PVC pipe. Basically I lucked out on my steering cable length. Before I built anything, I mocked in a temporary center console and routed all the cables and controls so I would know if they were long enough for where I wanted the center console, and it all worked out without me having to buy new cables. I definately recomend you do a lot of measuring and mocking in before doing anything permanent.

Thanks JJ,
So, the cable routing is:
1)down from console into ply boxed/pcv tube in center of floor
2)cable out of pvc/ply box at transom
3)cable routed (large radius)to starboard (right)
4)cable routed "up" in large radius back to port through access holes in splashwell wall to motor

Is the rear ply box drained through hull (through hull fitting w/ plug)?

My AB Imperial projy has a real nice "well, or box" at drain plug "bung", perfect for placement of pvc/ply box arrangement similar to yours.

BTW--a huge thanks for sharing all the info and photos of your Beast. I archived your photos (those not a red X) for my reference. ;)

Thats pretty much it. I kept the dimensions for the original sump area back at the transom, just cut the hole for the tube. Cables route through the original holes in the splashwell. All water drains back to this sump area. There is a bilge pump, and the drain plug for the transom as well.

If you want more pics, I could either post them again or email them directly.
