just damaged my lower unit's skeg on a 2004 150 Mercury outboard. Two chips approx 1/2 inch and a slight bend to teh skeg. Am I looking at major bucks? total lower unit replacement? or can the skeg be repaired, straightened at a low cost.

Also - any suggestions for Southeast Florida repair location???

Re: skeg damage

the 1/2"clip should have no effect on the L/U only looks, the slight bend wiii, might pull to one side or other. could be straightened easly with friendly persuasion.to get it done at a prop shop off season approx. $75.
