Not sure if anyone would be interested but I just finished a restoration of the stringers and floorboards on a 1987 Ski Centurion Barefoot Warrior. I was a little disappointed to see that the outside of the stringers were never glassed in from the factory! Probably why they rotted away.
A little background on me, I'm a construction manager for a local contractor in Seattle but worked for a short time in the marine industry in the distant past with a local shop.
Back to the project. I used Perforated Pressure treated 2x6s for the stringers and Marine grade plywood for the floorboards and West Systems epoxy and fiberglass cloth for the project. Everything got 3 or 4 layers of cloth (5 for the stringers). I tried to exceed the original construction which lasted 30+ years (especially if one of my kids ends up with the boat!) Please be constructive with your comments! I would be happy to elaborate on any steps in the process.
Unfortunately the photos didn't upload in chronological order so I numbered them (in the comments).
Looking forward to many more family memories!
