I'm hoping someone could help me out with this. theres this old boat thing that was left on lake property that we bought
a few years ago. I'm trying to find out who it was made by & how it was used. It has SKI FLEE painted on the side, Its made of fiberglass,It has an opening in the front of it for a small outboard motor. There are pulleys that run down the sides for steering, I think. Its about 12 feet long & the back 3/4s of it is flat, like you would stand back there to ride this thing. there had been a sticker on it for a hull ID, model no, manufacturer, but that has long since dissappeared.

My father in law built the Ski Flee here in Alberta in the 60's. I have a couple of pictures of it. What are you planning to do with that one? Id like to see some pictures if you have any.

Thanks!

I recently acquired a ski flee in good condition. The rudder is missing but other than that the hull is in good condition and there is a lever control mounted near the front just back of the motor opening. Looking for pics and any info to refinish this winter. :)

I had one as a kid, the rudder goes through the back with top angled extension that ropes are attached to. The ropes attach from each side and feed each side are are fed through to the front and come back to you in two ropes with handles or bulbs you steer with. The switch at the front is a dead man switch that went to the motor if the fell off, the switch would drop killing the motor. I had mine at a small lake called Minnedosa Lake in Manitoba Canada. it floated away one spring neve to be found, that was literally 45 years go i believe .I had a 9.8 merc on mine and ran a standard merc cable controlled throttle from the front to the side of the boat, so i could kneel down to speed up or slow down
