Five freinds are in camp for our annual week of skimobiling & skiing trip in the wilds of Maine.
The conditions are super with a foot of new powdery snow on an existing base of 3'of snow.

Yesterday was a beautiful bright sunny, balmy 20 degree day for skimobiling as the five of us put about 85 miles on the picturesque trails from Kingfield to Rangely for lunch.
Today my friends are off for a day of skiing at Sugar Loaf mountain.

Re: Skimobiling

I've only put about 200 miles on my sled all year. We have only about a 6" base, with not much snow since December. The lakes are prime for riding, but you have to trailer the sleds to go anywhere. Last year was so much better. I saw on the news last night that this is the second dryest Jan & Feb for NH ever.

Re: Skimobiling

Went out on the sleds last weekend and the trails were in surprisingly good shape for the lack of snow we've had in New Hampshire this year. I have a cottage in E. Wakefield and did about 70 miles this past weekend through the trails in Wakefield and Ossipee. The lakes were in good shape except for a couple small openings -- which were well marked. At least the temps rose a little. 3 weeks ago was brutal with -20 temps!!
